Main Parts That Makes A Flexographic Printing Unit: The Use Flexographic Plate Maker

The flexographic plate maker is one of the essential machines in the printing industry. The flexibility and ability to print a wide range of substrates are some of the reasons why it has been growing popular in the market.

But how does flexographic printing work? Well, this printing makes use of flexible relief plates that have the image to be printed on the substrate. The making of these plates is whether a flexographic plate maker is used.

The use of a flexographic plate maker is the initial stage of the making of flexographic plates. It is the initial and most crucial stage of printing. You need to have the best machine for this job. Fortunately, you have so many suppliers around. Click here for one of these flexographic plate maker manufacturers.

Here are the main parts of the flexographic printing Station:

The Fountain Roller

This is the roller that collects ink in the tray. It is the roller that dips in ink collect the ink and could be larger than other rollers to ensure proper distribution of the ink. The roller is connected to a motor that rotates it throughout the printing.

Anilox Roller

The anilox is the second roller from the tray. The main reason why we have this roller is to reduce the amount of ink that goes to the plate cylinder. The fountain roller usually collects a lot of ink in the tray, and some of it transferred to an anilox roller. To remove the excess ink, the anilox roller is fitted with a doctor blade removing the excess ink.

Plate Cylinder

This is whether the plate formed using the flexographic plate maker is put. The cylinder or roller carries the plates, where they collect the ink from the anilox roller. Note that the plates must be placed properly on the plate cylinder for accurate printing.

Impression Cylinder

This is the last roller in the setup. The main role of this roller is to presses the substrate against the flexographic plates to print the images on the substrate. The pressure pressing this cylinder be measured to ensure quality image transfer.

Motor and Belts

The other essential component of the flexographic printing station is the motor and the best. The rotation of the rollers is done using a motor and also belts. A sing motor is used to ensure synchronized printing of the image.
